Wabi-sabi (侘寂) In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" in nature. It is prevalent throughout all forms of Japanese art.

Fonds marins de la Méditerranée

When it comes to the promise of crystal-clear waters in the Mediterranean Sea, the reality is just as good as you could imagine. But why? Why is the Mediterranean so perfectly blue in colour? The answer is relatively simple and lies in the scientific make-up of the water itself. Imagine a brand spanking new white shirt – never worn and never washed. If it stays unused, it will stay perfectly white in colour. Well, the Mediterranean Sea is a little similar. It is lacking in a number of nutrients that lead to plant growth in other seas and oceans (causing that more familiar green-brown color that is so unattractive), and as such it retains its wonderful blue hue.
